Armenia – Mobilizing Action Against Corruption
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission to Armenia awarded Casals & Associates the Mobilizing Action Against Corruption (MAAC) contract in July 2007 Whose 3 year program has been extended to July of 2012. The purpose of the MAAC project, a component of the U.S. development assistance program to the Republic of Armenia, is to reduce corruption in the country. MAAC programs purpose is to reduce corruption by:
- Providing Armenians with opportunities that would enable them to help combat corrupt practices that they encounter
- Changing social attitudes and behavior among youth and adults to help them become attuned to the consequences of corruption and more likely to oppose or confront corruption
- Enabling systems-level changes to prevent or reduce corruption
