El Salvador Democracy Strengthening Program carried out successful Ethics Training
On July 27th and 30th of 2012 the USAID Democracy Strengthening Program (DSP) implementing since 2005 in El Salvador by Casals & Associates, Inc., carried out an Ethics Training to key executives and key staff of the National Port Authority Commission (Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma). In close cooperation with the Government Ethics Tribunal and the Under Secretary of Transparency and Anticorruption, the DSP provided two day training to about 200 public officials assigned to the International Airport of Comalapa and to the Acajutla Port. The Agency is going through a modernization period that includes the expansion of the international air and marine ports and the administration of several bids for this public work infrastructure. All this is expected to contribute to the country’s economic development by allowing management of greater number of commercial traffic.
