Regional and Local Forums and Conferences

C&A planned and hosted a series of regional and local “Industry Forum” conferences for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Military Housing Privatization and Enhanced Use Leasing Initiatives under a four-year subcontract to Ernst and Young. Congress enacted the initiatives at DoD’s request in 1996 to refurbish houses and construct new housing for service members and their families. Beginning in 2002, C&A provided meeting and logistics support for seven forums held at military facilities and hotels in Washington, D.C.; Delaware; South Carolina; and Oklahoma. The one- to two-day forums generally attracted from 100 to 225 participants and made use of general and breakout sessions. C&A managed host site contracts; pre-event publicity; online registration; preparation of speaker presentation booklets; signage requirements; and participant products, such as name tags and table tents. For some forums, C&A also coordinated onsite conference activities, including overseeing hotel and audiovisual equipment staff activities and coordinating security, parking, and bus tours.
