Strengthening Democracy in Bolivia

C&A assisted the government of Bolivia with consultation and cooperation in a democratic context through a $14 million task order under the firms Support Which Implements Fast Transitions II (SWIFT II) Indefinite Quantity Contract. SWIFT II is a quick-response contracting mechanism of the U.S. Agency for International Developments Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI). Under the task order, C&A worked closely with the government of Bolivia to assist it in promoting community participation in decision-making; better serving impoverished rural and indigenous populations; and developing public-private partnerships by funding grants that engage nongovernmental organizations, neighborhood associations, and government counterparts in addressing the peoples needs. Earlier, C&A also ran a separate USAID-funded anti-corruption and rule of law program in Bolivia.
