Population, Health, and Nutrition Surveys in Developing Countries

C&A is helping developing countries collect and use data to monitor and evaluate population, health, and nutrition programs through our work on the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Measure Phase II/Demographic and Health Surveys (Measure DHS) program. Under a subcontract to Macro International, Inc., C&A is assisting with the execution of surveys in developing countries and with the analysis of survey data. Measure DHS surveys are large, nationally representative efforts, typically including 5,000 to 30,000 households in a five-year periodic survey. Through household and women’s questionnaires, these surveys cover a wide range of topics, including health and nutrition, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, and children’s vaccination programs.
