Awarded USAID �Encouraging Global Anticorruption and Good Governance Efforts (ENGAGE)� Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA � March 24, 2008 � Casals & Associates, Inc. (C&A) announced today that it has been awarded the Encouraging Global Anticorruption and Good Governance Efforts (ENGAGE) Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). “We are very pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with USAID in the fields of anticorruption, good governance and rule of law,” said C&A President Beatriz Casals. “The award of the ENGAGE IQC will enable us to continue to support USAID in the global fight against corruption, as we have for nearly 20 years.” The ENGAGE IQC is a five-year, multi-award contract with a potential value of $750 million. Through ENGAGE, C&A and its partners will provide a wide range of anticorruption and good governance technical services to host country governments, civil society organizations, and the private sector. USAID Missions around the world and other U.S. Government agencies working overseas will fund specific activities under the IQC that are designed to foster transparency, promote accountability, and strengthen government integrity. “C&A is joined by an exceptional group of partners that will enable us to respond to any one of dozens of specialized niche areas of expertise in any region of the world at any time,” noted William Jeffers, the firm’s Vice President for International Programs.
