Indoor spaces such as classrooms, offices, waiting rooms, restaurants ... with large crowds of people and little ventilation have a higher risk of contagion than any outdoor space. If we cough, sneeze, scream or sing we throw particles. If these particles are virally loaded and come into contact with someone, they infect. These particles are aerosols, and they are the main route of infection. Aerosols are microparticles suspended in the air for hours that can be loaded with viruses and without a ventilation system that takes them to the ground or a purifier that eliminates them, the risk of contagion increases.
One of the most common doubts is to distinguish between ventilation and purification. They are not exclusive at all and the use of both will allow us to have a healthy environment and reduce the risk of virus infections.
With the purifiers we will ensure that the environment is as clean as possible of harmful particles for health, but it will be essential to move the air and its renewal thanks to the ventilation, which can be natural or mechanical, with the use of fans.
In the case of purifiers, the type of filter they carry inside will be essential. For viruses such as SARS-CoV2, at least HEPA H13 filters must be used, and in the case of Casals Ventilación, our purifiers are equipped with several filtration layers that contain, among other additional filters, the essential HEPA H14 filters.
