CASALS TECHNICAL CATALOGUE - CATALOGO TECNICO

CONTENT OF CASALS TECHNICAL CATALOGUE

Within the Casals technical catalogue you will be able to see in addition to the product descriptions, the technical data, the performance curves and the dimensional diagrams of all our products.

  • Roof fans

Extraction fans to be installed on roofs of houses or buildings, whether tertiary, industrial or residential.

This type of fan can be adapted to any type of roof thanks to the tiltable and adaptable bases on site. The objective of roof extractor fans is to keep buildings in healthy condition by extracting stale air, smoke and keeping the temperature and humidity levels at the proper levels. In this way, a healthy indoor environment is achieved that benefits both the people who work or live in it as well as the machinery and the building itself.

We also have roof fans for smoke evacuation certified F400, and ATEX, as is the case of the CTH-3 F400 with a polyamide hat, or CTH-3A F400 with an aluminum hat. Visit the section on smoke extraction outside the hazardous area or ATEX  to see these more details about these options.

Axial, centrifugal roof fans, F400 certified, for vertical or horizontal discharge. Fixed or tiltable bases.

  • Cabinet and ducted fans

In-line fans for circular and rectangular ducts, inside or without an insulated box. Given the many applications of in-line or duct fans, you can find them throughout the catalogue.

In the Cabinet fans chapter, there are ducted or in-line fans suitable for mounting in false ceilings given their low profile, such as the SB-3 EEC family (for rectangular ducts) or SBC-3 EEC (for circular ducts), both available with filter and/or with insulation (FILTER, PLUS and PLUS FILTER versions).

Likewise, cabinet axial fans like the BOX HB and BOX HBA, or cased axial fans like theHM, HMA, HM EVO EEC, HMA EVO EEC, HH and HHP can be installed in line for circular ducts.

As cabinet ventilation units there are soundproof versions, with direct or transmission motor, with double-inlet fans, with filters and with double fans.

As low noise, high performance and low profile in-line extractors are the KUVIO and KUVIO EEC mixed-flow fans, ideal for residential and small commercial applications.

Within the chapter on ducted fans there are only the cased with backward impeller for smoke extraction and air renewal in all types of buildings and industries such as the HMR, and its transmission version the HMRT.

  • Centrifugal fans

Centrifugal fans are the most versatile in the catalogue given the multiple applications they can serve. Having similar rpm than axial fans and a similar size, the advantage of centrifugal fans is that they can offer a higher pressure than axial fans.

In centrifugal or radial fans, the air is driven by an impeller that intakes through the central part and supply it through the blades. In this section you will find low pressure centrifugal fans (Pe up to 70mmwc approx.), medium pressure centrifugal fans (Pe from 70 to 250mmwc approx.), and high pressure centrifugal fans (Pe greater than 250mmwc). At the same time, centrifugal fans can be radial blade or straight blade, with forward curved blades or backward curved blades.

  • Plug fans

The plug fans are motor-fan assemblies with a compact design and small dimensions thanks to the absence of a casing.

Their reduced size and weight, together with high performance features, make them ideal for multiple applications to work in ventilation and air conditioning, both with clean, non-aggressive air and with slightly dusty air.

Plug fan fans are normally made up of a backward centrifugal impeller, with a single inlet, and a support frame, all joined by screws.

Among the Casals plug fans, there are: CIKSTORM for the recirculation of gases from -40ºC to 120ºC continuously, the direct CLIBOS to drive gases in ovens or boilers up to 250ºC, or the belt driven version CLIBOS-TR that even reaches 350ºC, and the ENKELFAN EC plug fan with electronic motor and higher performance for air conditioners and plenums.

  • Axial fans

Axial fans get their name from the outflow of air, which describes an axial-shaped path.

The axial fans can move large air flows at low pressures and depending on the shape of their casing they can be wall-mounted (for wall or glass installation, vertically) such as HJEM, HJBM, HJB, HB or cased (for installation in duct and with factory adjustable angle blades) such as the HC, HC EVO EEC, HM, HM EVO EEC, BOX HB.

  • Air curtains

The air curtains generate an invisible air barrier that allows to avoid the loss of temperature through any room opening (windows or doors) without obstructing the passage of vehicles or people. The investment in an air curtain quickly pays for itself as they avoid wasting energy.

Its operation is based on a high speed of the driven air that protects the entrance of a room or premises. In the case of the Casals COURSALIS it is up to 2.2 m/s. If the curtain is also heated, as is the case with the COURSALIS E, it generates greater comfort for the people who pass through it.

COURSALIS air curtains for tertiary reaches up 3m and are remote controlled.

COURSALIS air curtains protect the indoor environment of any building, shop, school, supermarket, bar etc.

  • Jet fans

Jet fans are designed for car parks and wide spaces where it is required to effectively remove polluted air or smoke from an accidental fire, mainly in underground car parks.

Its optimized design reduces the height required for installation and ensures quiet operation.

The main objective is to be able to evacuate people, ensuring that the smoke is ducted to the outside and the air is minimally breathable. It is achieved by making a horizontal sweep of a large amount of air through the low speed at which the fans rotate. The air will be displaced until it is led to the fans or extraction points.

This catalogue includes jet fans for comfort and smoke removal 300ºC/2h (F300) and 400ºC/2h (F400): the octagonal JF axial, the JFC tubular axial, the SYBILO low profile centrifugal and its comfort version with a smaller electronic motor SYBILO-S EEC.

  • Smoke exhaust fans F400 inside the hazardous area

Casals smoke exhaust fans are capable of transferring air at high temperatures, and it is possible inside 400ºC/2h, 300ºC/2h or 200ºC/2h depending on the model. In this section you will find both wall-mounted axial (HBF) and cased (HCF, HMF and HMF 2 poles) fire fans as well as smoke exhaust ventilation boxes (BOX HBF, BOX RLF) for in-line installation. All our exhaust fans are also available in their ATEX version (for explosive atmospheres).

As an industrial fan, IGNÉO stands out, a backward centrifugal fan for duct installation, intended for supply or intake clean or dusty air in professional kitchens, industries, shopping centres, boilers and ovens, car parks, tunnels, etc.

The jet fans or fans for underground parking are also exhaust fans inside the hazardous area, but in this catalogue, you will find them within the chapter jet fans.

  • Smoke exhaust fans F400 outside the hazardous area

Fans for smoke extraction to work outside the hazardous area with 400ºC/2h certification. Solutions for industrial kitchens such as the ventilation boxes with transmission out-of-air such as BVFC F400 and BVFC F400 L, or the box with self-cleaning backward impeller and changeable panels DHUMAT F400. For outdoor installation, silent and with great performance, we propose BOX BSTB F400.

To transfer air on roofs or chimneys at 400ºC/2h, Casals has options with an aluminium (CTH3-A F400) or polyamide cowl (CTH3 F400), both with horizontal discharge. For vertical discharge, it is only necessary to attach the KV CTH3 kit.

  • ATEX fans

ATEX fans are those that can work in explosive atmospheres, hence their name, and these can both be in an industrial, tertiary, or commercial environment. During the manufacture, treatment, transport and storage of flammable substances, gases, vapours or mists are produced or leaked into the environment. The combination of these emissions with the oxygen in the air leads to the creation of a potentially explosive atmosphere that can explode in the event of ignition.

Trapping air in explosive atmospheres safely involves using ATEX Casals fans. In this chapter you will find our range of ATEX fans of great diversity: wall-mounted or boxed axial, cased axial, medium pressure made of steel or plastic, high pressure, roof, medium pressure centrifugal, direct and belt driven. As many options as possible installations.

  • Wall fans for residential use and residential or small tertiary heat recovery units

The desigNtial by Casals range of fans and energy recovery units is born with the aim of filling residential spaces with comfort without sacrificing design and aesthetics.

RESIDENTIAL RECOVERY UNITS

The 4 models of desigNtial by Casals heat recovery units allow any home to have an air renewal system taking advantage of the heated indoor temperature without the entry of new air from outside causing energy loss.

From a single room, with the KRISONA EEC, to a 240m2 single-family house with the HIDRIDA LP EEC low-profile recovery unit, passing through smaller houses and even flats of any size, you will find in this family the most suitable model depending on of its surface and the number of inhabitants. For vertical or closet installation, ORMEN EEC is recommended, for spaces up to 180m2. And for false ceilings, up to 80m2 of surface, there is also a smaller solution such as MOOTA LP EEC.

  • Heat recovery units for tertiary use

Energy recovery units have the function of taking advantage of the psychometric properties (temperature and humidity) of the air extracted from the building and exchanging them with those of the air that we supply from the outside, without mixing the flows and exchanging their properties to achieve the most suitable temperature and humidity for the space where the recovery unit is installed.

Offering well-being to visitors and customers through a heat recovery unit is as essential as it is simple, both in small shops, offices, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, shopping centres, libraries, even blocks of flats and single-family homes. Casals has energy recovery units to maintain indoor air quality in closed environments avoiding thermal loss from heating or air conditioning. AC and EC motor options, medium and high efficiency (up to 92%), cross flow and counter flow exchanger cell.

  • Air purifiers

Air purifiers are sets made up of a fan and several filters designed to clean harmful particles that may be associated with bacteria or viruses. They are vital for keeping the air clean in closed spaces and totally complementary to ventilation and air conditioning systems. Casals purifiers featured with certified according to EN1822 HEPA H14 absolute filters and can be used in the human presence.

In this chapter you will find the portable REINTAIR® wheeled purifiers for spaces up to 45m2 and 100m2, the purifiers for commercial and industrial spaces by decentralized ceiling suspension like REINTDECK EASY, or in false ceiling like REINTDECK.

All our purifiers have an EC electronic motor and are available with a photocatalysis system and UV-C (ultraviolet) lamps, through which the viruses are captured by the absolute filters and remain inert. In this case they are called Warrior versions.
